Here is an old well water pulley. It's rusty, has some stains on the rim and the top hook is moveable up and down. The unusual part of this is the "Y" casting of the housing around the wheel. Most well pulleys just have a 3 leg casting to the rim, this one has 4. The pulley measures about 13" from top of hook to bottom of wheel. It is about 11 1/4" width wise, and the wheel itself is about 9" in diameter. It has great patina (if you like rust, not the flaking falling off kind but the kind that has turned into metal and just stays with the wheel.) It does have an orange like stain on top of the rim that may or may not wash off, I haven't tried, because I try to leave things as I found them.(except for dirt and stuff that will make a mess as it sits there). This pulley is in very good condition.
Thanks for looking
